Mothers spend the majority of their time thinking about other people, so much so that “I don’t need anything” is a common refrain leading up to gift-giving holidays.

But while that response certainly speaks to mom’s priorities, it doesn’t do much in helping anyone pick out presents for her. And though it’s true that what most women really want for Mother’s Day is to spend time with loved ones, getting to unwrap something special isn’t half bad either.

We’re offering you a hand this year with our Mother’s Day gift guide, featuring items for all the wonderful maternal figures in your life.

Made by Mary Family Floral Disc Necklace

Starting off with a classic: jewelry. This necklace from Made by Mary makes for a particularly thoughtful gift because it’s not only beautiful, but it’s also customizable. You can choose up to nine flowers to have stamped on the front, one representing each member of the family. Available in gold filled, rose gold filled, and sterling silver.

Dixit Board Game

Courtesy of Libellud

A personal favorite of this writer, Dixit is an award-winning, beautifully illustrated board game that encourages creativity while testing how well players know the inner workings of one another’s minds. Each round, one person secretly chooses a card and says a word or phrase as a clue. The other players submit a card that they think works best with that clue and then vote on which one actually belongs to the person whose turn it is.

Anthropologie Eden Pitcher

Crafted from stoneware, the gorgeous Eden picture is eye candy of the highest order. It’s handpainted and decaled and will add a touch of elegance to any event, whether it’s a garden party with friends or breakfast on a weekday. It has a nearly 12-cup capacity and is dishwasher-safe (though hand-washing is recommended).

Ninja Creami 7-in-1 Ice Cream Maker

Courtesy of Ninja

If you’re looking to truly spoil mom this year, get her a Ninja Creami. The social media-famous appliance can transform practically any frozen base into a velvety treat — case in point: a can of peaches turned into sorbet. It’s a perfect gift for the woman with a sweet tooth, and if she just so happens to share a freezer with you, even better.

Lego Icons Bonsai Tree Set

Courtesy of Lego

Many moms are more used to picking up Legos than playing with them, but you can change that and provide her with a relaxing way to wind down at the same time. The Bonsai Tree set is perfect for anyone into zen gardens and creating things with their hands. Plus, if she has little kids at home, it’s a great way to share an interest and activity. (The Tiny Plants set is another fun option.)

Boy Smells Hinoki Fantôme Sniff+Spray

Courtesy of Boy Smells

We’re big fans of Boy Smells candles here at Nice News (each member of the team owns at least one), and the brand’s Sniff+Spray set makes a wonderful gift. It comes with an 8.5-ounce candle in a beautiful glass vessel and a 10-milliliter eau de parfum, both in the scent Hinoki Fantôme — “a resinous combination of warming and sacred Japanese hinoki woods and earthy spice.”

Ember Mug 2

Courtesy of Ember

Available in two sizes and a range of colors and finishes, the Ember mug is a connected device (everything is smart these days — even dishware!) that keeps hot drinks at a custom temperature. That means whether she’s a fast drinker or enjoys one cup of coffee or tea over the course of hours, each sip is just right. It also remembers the temperature from her last drink and features a sensor that shuts off the heat when not in use.

Milk Bar The Little Somethings

Courtesy of Milk Bar

No Mother’s Day gift guide would be complete without some form of chocolate — and The Little Somethings pack from Milk Bar fits the bill perfectly. It includes one dozen B’day Truffles, a dozen Chocolate B’day Truffles, and a tin of six assorted cookies. She doesn’t have to share, but if you’re extra nice, maybe she will. Founded by James Beard award-winning pastry chef Christina Tosi, Milk Bar has been called “one of the most exciting bakeries in the country.”

Tile Mate Bluetooth Tracker

Courtesy of Tile

Mom constantly misplacing her keys or purse? She’s in good company. Help her out with a Tile Mate bluetooth tracker (or two or three.) These inexpensive devices are water-resistant and have a range of up to 250 feet. All she has to do is open up the free app and find out where she last set her personal items.

Material The Coated Pan

Courtesy of Material

Material creates aesthetically pleasing, long lasting items (see: The reBoard, made out of recycled plastic scraps and sugarcane), and this copper pan is no exception. It’s durable and high quality, so she’ll keep it for years, and it adds a touch of elegance to any stovetop. Plus, it’s non-stick and dishwasher-safe.

Echo Dot

Courtesy of Amazon

The Echo Dot plays music, podcasts, and audiobooks with clear, vibrant sound quality, and it’s small and sleek enough to be an unobtrusive element in any decor. Plus, it’s equipped with Alexa, so she can control it with her voice and ask the virtual assistant for weather updates, answers to queries, and more. Get it in charcoal, deep sea blue, or white.

Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter

Courtesy of Sephora

This luxurious cream is made with avocado oil, argan oil, and shea butter, for rich yet lightweight hydration and a firming finish. Key fragrance notes are vanilla bean and juniper berries against a backdrop of cedar, and Josie Maran uses 100% plant-based essences in its product scents. Plus, the vessel can be used again — find refill options, like Bohemian Fig and Sweet Citrus, here.

Jacobsen Salt Co.’s Infused Bestsellers Gift Set

Courtesy of Jacobsen’s Salt Co.

Salt is the ultimate flavor enhancer: A tiny sprinkle can transform a dish. And a tiny sprinkle of one of these delicious infused salts can take that transformation to the next level. Featuring six of Jacobsen Salt Co.’s bestselling flavors, including rosemary, habanero, and pinot noir (who knew?), this set makes a wonderful gift for the foodie mom in your life.

Kodak Step Instant Mobile Photo Printer

Courtesy of Kodak

In today’s digital age, photos often live on screens rather than in frames. This portable printer offers the best of both worlds. It’s small enough to carry around in a purse, so immediately after a moment is captured on a smartphone camera, it can be tucked in a wallet or hung on the fridge. The 2-by-3-inch pictures are printed on peel-off sticky paper, so she can even decorate a notebook or scrapbook with them.

Matrescence Rose Glow Purifying Cleanser

Courtesy of Matrescence

Founded by a prenatal care expert, Matrescence is devoted to new and expecting moms, with a mission “rooted in ‘mothering the mother.’” All its products are made with gentle ingredients like the green tea and burdock root extract in this cleanser, which helps calm sensitive, hormonal skin. You can also check out the three-piece set, which includes the Rose Glow Brightening Essence and Brilliant Protection Souffle.
