Matthew was an undeclared college sophomore when he randomly decided to take a journalism class. Turns out he loved it, and he went on to work as a reporter in New York after earning his communications degree. Eventually, though, he felt the news cycle was overwhelmingly negative and wanted to focus on the unsung good instead. That's why Matthew joined Nice News. When he's not writing, Matthew enjoys playing video games, making sad songs, traveling the world, and petting his cat — a gray-and-white, fluffy ragamuffin named Totoro.
